Ucopier is a locally owned and operated copier company based in North Riverside, Illinois, not a national chain. We've spent nearly two decades doing copiers a simpler, fairer way.
Ucopier began in 2006 as Chicago Copier Rental, putting machines into trade shows, television and film productions, Broadway shows, litigation war rooms and political campaigns. Short-term, high-stakes work where a copier that does not turn up, or does not run, is somebody's very bad day.
That work put us alongside the manufacturers and the big resellers, and it showed us something we had not expected. Small and mid-sized businesses across Chicagoland were being sold rigid multi-year contracts with hidden fees, indifferent service and no way out. They did not want a better contract. They wanted not to be locked into one.
So we built Ucopier around exactly that: all-inclusive flat-rate leasing with equipment, delivery, installation, maintenance, toner and service in one number, no long-term commitment and no early termination penalty. We also repair and service customer-owned machines from every major brand, whether we placed them or not, and we never stopped doing the short-term rental work the company started with.
Short-term copier rentals for trade shows, television and movie productions, Broadway shows, litigation teams, political campaigns and corporate meetings. Deadline work, where the machine has to arrive and it has to run.
Partnering with the manufacturers and resellers showed us how Chicagoland's small and mid-sized businesses were being served: rigid multi-year contracts, hidden fees, slow support, and no way out if it stopped working for them.
One mission, and a narrow one. Genuinely no-contract leasing on quality multifunction copiers, with equipment, delivery, installation, maintenance, toner and service inside a single flat rate.
Based in North Riverside, leasing Canon, servicing every major brand across Chicagoland, and still renting machines to productions and trade shows when somebody needs one for a fortnight.
Most customers come to us for leasing. The rest exists because a copier has a whole life, and it helps to have one number to call for all of it.
One flat monthly rate covering the machine and everything it needs. No long-term contract.
On-site repair for machines you already own, whatever brand. Flat service rate plus parts.
Getting rid of a copier? Trade it against a new lease or purchase and we'll handle the swap.
We have machines in single-desk offices and on factory floors, and everything in between. The use cases barely resemble each other. The terms are identical.
Law firms, CPA and accounting practices, insurance agencies, financial advisors, title companies
Confidential work, retention rules, and a volume spike every filing season.
Medical and dental practices, veterinary clinics, home health agencies, therapy and counseling offices
Patient paperwork that has to stay secure, on machines that cannot be down for a week.
Manufacturing plants, distribution and warehousing, construction and contractors, auto dealerships
A rugged machine on the floor and a very different one in the front office.
Churches, nonprofits, schools and daycares, township and municipal offices, membership organizations
Budgets approved a year ahead, so the monthly number cannot move.
TV and film production, marketing and design agencies, photographers, print-adjacent studios
Color that has to be right the first time, on deadlines measured in hours.
Hotels, restaurants, event venues, salons, independent retailers
Front of house and back office running whenever the doors are open.
A five-year lease means a dealer stops having to earn the account the day you sign, and it locks your business to whatever you needed back then. Month to month, we have to be worth keeping every month, and your equipment can follow the business instead of the other way round. Grow into a second machine, drop one when a location closes, move up a speed when volume climbs. None of that requires renegotiating a contract, because there is not one.
Fast service is mostly logistics and people. We keep both in house.
Warehouses in Woodridge, Illinois and Elk Grove Village, Illinois hold parts and equipment across the metro. A technician is rarely far from either you or the part they need.
Because the inventory is ours, most jobs are covered from what we already have and orders can go out the same day. Nothing sits waiting on a distributor.
Our technicians and account managers are vetted employees, not subcontractors, and most have been here for years. The same team services the machine and manages the account.
Locally owned and operated since 2006. We're your neighbors in North Riverside, not a distant national chain routing you through a call center.
Equipment, toner, parts, labor and service in a single flat payment. The number you start at is the number you pay, every month.
Cancel or upgrade whenever your needs change. We earn your business every month instead of trapping it in a long-term contract.
A quick conversation is all it takes. Tell us about your office and we'll handle the rest.
