Short-Term Copier Rental for Events, Projects and Temporary Offices.

A copier for as long as you actually need one. Delivered, set up, and collected when you are done. It is the work this company was founded on in 2006.

Ucopier started in 2006 as Chicago Copier Rental, putting machines into trade shows, television and movie productions, Broadway shows, litigation war rooms, political campaigns and corporate meetings across Chicagoland.

Most of the business is no-contract monthly leasing now, but we never stopped doing the short-term work, and the reason is simple: it is the same fleet, the same technicians and the same two warehouses. A copier that goes out for a three-day conference comes back and goes out again.

If you need a machine for a week, a month or a season, we can usually do it. Tell us the dates and the volume and we will tell you straight away whether we have the right equipment free.

What people rent them for

Short-Term Work We Already Know How to Do.

Trade Shows and Conferences

A machine on the floor or in the booth for the run of the show, delivered and collected around your setup and teardown windows.

Film and Television Production

Script and call-sheet volume on location or at a production office. We have been doing this since 2006, including Broadway touring productions.

Litigation Support

Document-heavy discovery and trial prep, where the volume is enormous, the deadline is fixed, and it ends when the case does.

Political Campaigns

Field offices that open fast, print constantly for a few months, and close the week after the election.

Temporary and Swing Offices

Renovations, office moves, disaster recovery, or a second location running before the permanent equipment lands.

Seasonal and Project Work

Tax season, open enrollment, audit periods, end-of-year mailings. Anything where the volume arrives all at once.

How it works

Four Things We Need to Know.

Short-term rental is quoted per job rather than off a rate card, because a three-day booth and a six-month field office are not the same thing.

1

Your Dates

Start and end, plus when the room or venue is actually accessible for delivery.

2

Your Volume

Roughly how much you expect to print over the whole period, and whether you need color.

3

Where It Goes

The address, the floor, and anything awkward about getting a machine into it.

4

We Quote and Deliver

One price covering the machine, toner, delivery, setup and collection.

Give us as much lead time as you can. Availability is the only real constraint on short-term work. Event season gets tight, and the machine you want is sometimes already out on another job. Early notice is usually the difference between yes and no.
Worth knowing

If It Runs Longer Than a Few Months, Lease It Instead.

Short-term rental is priced for short terms. Once a project stretches past a season, ourno-contract monthly lease is cheaper, includes unlimited toner and service, and can still be cancelled whenever the work ends. There is no term on it, so there is no reason to rent by the week to stay flexible.
